Today on the blog I have Jennifer from Indie Supporter back again with a guest post on something a little different but so fun. She is here to introduce you to Regina Wamba a graphic designer who does some amazing work, seriously. Jenn is here to share with you some of her designs. Keep an eye out for some of Regina's work here on Rainy Day Ramblings very soon. Now here is Jenn:
I know over here at Rainy Day, y’all love you some C.S. Splitter so I figured that if I start with a Splitter story, it’ll get us off on the right foot.
One day Splitter and I were chatting via a Facebook thread and he called me the “James Brown” of the indie world.
My first reaction was, “What?!”
He replied with, “James Brown was considered the hardest working man in show business.”
“Oh! I get it!” I thought to myself.
Ya see, I work with authors on marketing and sales strategy.
Splitter is one of my peeps and this made me think of one thing.
“Dude, I’m not the James Brown of the indie world, I’m the Don King!”
“Don King just pimps out other people with talent he doesn’t have and reaps the rewards!”
Bah ha ha.
Sorry, I thought it was funny, maybe you had to be there.
But, if I am the “Don” of Indie books then have I got a Muhammed Ali of cover artists for you!
(sidenote: Upon googling Don King’s best boxer he ever “sponsored” come to find it was Muhammed, thus why I dubbed this person that name instead of the best boxer of all time via ESPN, Sugar Ray Leonard)
LMAO, this is my champ, Regina Wamba.
She is freaking epic!
When I asked her to do this pics for me, she photo shopped them so well that it was hard to tell that it was even her face in the pic.
I told her, “Regina, make it look a little less blendable, these are spoof pics! They are supposed to be funny! Not perfect!”
But Regina strives for perfection on everything she creates so I had to get her to “dumb down”.
Even still, those pics are pretty good right?
Well, you ain’t seen NOTHIN’ yet!
Check THIS OUT!
And that is just a sample of MY favorite work that she has done.
Regina is capable of anything when it comes to covers, manipulations, photographs etc.
Seriously, if you’re an author needing a cover, a blogger needing a banner or button, or just want to liven up your own personal photo, Regina is TOTALLY the chick for you.
She is a perfectionist (in a good way) when it comes to her work and will give you nothing but the best.
Regina is also such a sweetheart and fun person to talk to as well.
But her flaw is her modesty which is why I am on here boasting about her and she isn’t.
Hey! Wanna see how a cover is made? Check this bad boy out! It’s Regina in action!
Epic right?
I can never get enough of her work!
