1 - Shiny objects and old family stories are told in this chapter, including an old nickname for our dear Charley. What was the nickname her uncle Bob gave her when she was little? Do you have an old nickname from when you were a kid? You can share it, and if it's really embarrassing we won't mind. *wink*
Uncle Bob's nickname for Charley was Calamity as in Calamity Jane. I am sure for her abilities to raise a ruckus and get into trouble. Especially since the real Calamity Jane was a legend! As far as nicknames from my past, my brother gave me a couple of horrid nicknames all in order to antagonize me, which he did often, in fact pretty much constantly. The worst offenders being Piggytoe Face and Wart. Don't ask, I couldn't begin to ascertain how he came up with these. In high school I earned two more: China Doll and Lil' Innocent. China Doll was because I have porcelain white skin and I burn so easily. Lil' Innocent is because I always looked sweet and innocent but in reality I was the rule breaker! Most of my teachers never caught on as I maintained the innocent facade! The nickname that stuck that was given to me by close friends and family is Heid and I still go by that today.
2 - In this chapter we met someone. A really special guy named Rocket. Now, my memory is not what it used to be, and I just can't remember what makes him so special. Can you tell me what makes this particular ghost unique among all the others? And how about you? What can you do that makes you special? Anything? Jump on one foot for a really long time counts. *giggle*
Rocket is a ghostly record keeper. He knows exactly when someone passes and 
records their name. He is an incredible memory as he never forgets a name! Imagine that! As far as my special talents, well I don't know. I like to do all kinds of crafty things like make jewelry and candles, bake and beautify things with crystals and glitter. I have a pretty darn good memory and my family has learned not to argue with me when it comes to recalling anything, because I am almost always right and can back it up. I guess I can't think of anything spectacular. I am certainly not going to win the gold medal in anything anytime soon!
3 - Charley is really *cough* not your ordinary girl. She does something that, well, there's no way around it. She named parts of her body and the names are... oh crap, I forgot. Just my luck. *sigh* But I'm sure you guys can say what part of her body she named and what the names were. And, since we are on the matter, have you ever named a part of your body? If so, what was it and what was the name? Come on, don't be shy. *wink+crooked smile*
I love that Charley names her breasts: Will Robinson and Danger. Too funny! I think I already established last week that I am lame when it comes to naming stuff. I named my kids and pets and that is it...well except for my daughter is always asking me to help her name her Pet Shop Pets. I didn't name my car and I have never named a body part, seriously! I guess I just lack some imagination! Sorry to be a bore!
4 - We all have our little secrets. Things we don't tell anyone, not even our bff. Char (we became close :P ) is no different, but in this chapter she shared her little (big) secret (S) with her bff. What did you think about her reaction? What would be yours?
I love that Cookie does her absolute best to take it all in stride. Even though times 
she wavers and is a bit terrified, she stands behind Charley and believes her. I adore Cookie and think we all should have best friend like that, someone who has our back and is willing to bail us out. I want a Cookie in my lunch box! If a close friend or family member came to me with an enormous secret like being a grim reaper and conversing with the dead, I can only hope that I would be as supportive. I would like to think that I would be open minded no matter what.
5 - In this chapter, Char continues her heart-to-heart with her BFF and comes up with some theories about our fave badboy/possibly ghost. What do you think of it? Can it be? What do you think about him? Hot? Double chocolate hot? Super duper caramel chocolate cake with a cherry on top hot?
This is kind of not fair for me to answer since I have read the whole book and know how everything plays out. Needless to say, Reyes is smoking hot, a bad boy that will likely spell trouble but who cares he is might fine! Mmm can you say hot fudge, carmel with whip cream and sprinkles!
