Here we are the last Tuesday in April. Time does fly when you are buried in books. Tuesdays on Rainy Day Ramblings mean another thought provoking question from the hostess of Tell Me Something Tuesdays, Cambria Hebert. Head over to her blog add your link and grab next week's question and join in.
This week's question: If you could meet anyone (dead or alive) who would that person be and why?
I feel like I am cheating because I recently answered this question during a read along. I will change it up a little, though. First, I want to meet Beethoven, my favorite composer. I am amazed by the complexity and beauty of his most famous symphony that was written when he was deaf. I would love to spend just a few minutes watching him work, whether it be composing or directing the orchestra. He definitely was an extraordinary musical genius.
Next up I want to meet Margaret Mitchell, author of Gone with the Wind, to ask her the ever burning question, does Scarlet get Rhett back? She left all of us readers hanging with Rhett's famous line,"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn." Saying that was all that need to be written. Sure, knowing Scarlet's tenacity she would find a way to get Rhett back, but still I want it spelled out for me.
Moving on, I want to meet Elvis Presley. I don't know what it is about that man, his sexy smile, pouty lips, swaying hips or amazing voice, but let's face it that man has charisma. He is still drawing new fans to this day, despite the fact that he has been dead for thirty five years. He was smoking hot!
Finally, to make it easy on myself, meaning I might actually be able to meet someone on my list, I want to meet Stephen King. Mr. King has been one of my favorite authors for over twenty years. He is the one author that I immediately rush out and buy whatever new book he publishes. That man has mad writing skills and you can count me among the many of his "constant readers". If you have yet to try a King book might I suggest, IT, 11/22/63, Wizards and Glass, or Bag of Bones. They are among my favorites. Mr. King has a new book out today, The Wind Through the Keyhole. You can bet I will be purchasing a copy.
So, there you have it my list of folks that I would love to meet. I am sure I will think of more people who should be on this post. Hopefully you all can share some of your picks with me as well. Happy Tuesday everyone.
